Study Visit to Bemco Hydraulics Ltd,and Vega Auto Accessories Ltd, Belgaum

A study visit was organized by the Marketing dynamites to Bemco Hydraulics Ltd, and Vega Auto Accessories Ltd, Belgaum in the last week of August '11. The basic objective of the visit was to acquire the practical insight of various departments functioning in the organization with the major focus on marketing department.

At Bemco, the students interacted with the Asst. Marketing Manager (Applications) Mr. Zutti and discussed about prospecting the customers, four P's of marketing, marketing strategies etc. Since the firm is engaged in the manufacture of industrial products, the students clarified their doubts practically, which they studied in the subject titled 'Industrial Marketing. The Personnel Manager, Shri K S Mudri explained about HR department and discussed manpower planning, welfare facilities, compensation management, training and development etc, implemented in Bemco hydraulics Ltd. Mr. Prabhu, Technical head educated the students on production processes at Bemco.

Yet another firm, Vega Auto Accessories Pvt Ltd was visited by our marketing dynamites. The company is engaged in the manufacture of helmets under the brand name of 'Vega' is marketing its range of products both in domestic and international markets. The company is export oriented unit, and exports 40% of its total production to international markets. The students received an excellent response from Mr. Yusuf, Quality Assurance Manager, Mr. Vishal Gavas, Marketing Manager and Mr. Arun Online Marketing Manager. The Q A Manager explained about the production processes and Mr Vishal and Mr. Arun brought the live helmet market in the conference room and clarified all theoretical aspects.
