Admission
DURATION OF THE COURSE
The MBA Course shall be of two years duration extended over four semesters.
The candidate shall be allowed a maximum of four years (8 semesters) of
duration to be eligible for the award of MBA degree, failing which he/she shall
have to register once again as a fresh candidate.
ELIGIBILITY FOR ADMISSION
Admission is open to the Master of Business Administration Course, to all
the candidates who possess a Bachelor's Degree of minimum three years duration
by any recognized University or equivalent authority.
The candidates shall have passed the prescribed qualifying examinations
with not less than 50% of the marks in the aggregate of all the years of the
degree examinations. However, in the case of candidate belonging to SC/ST and
any other groups classified by the Government of Karnataka for such purpose from
time to time the aggregate percentage of marks in the qualifying examinations
shall not be less than 45%.
50% of the available seats at MBA@GIT are filled via PGCET conducted by KARNATAKA EXAMINATIONS AUTHORITY.
The remaining 50% are filled by the management, however student aspiring
for a management quota seat must have appeared PGCET, KMAT, CAT or any other such entrance exam.
